Had a lovely stay nothing was to much trouble for Marie and Kevin, lovely and clean breakfast excellent all the little touches that other places don’t give you, we would recommend Lawrenny Lodge to anybody coming to Barmouth and we will definitely be returning ourselves

This was my second stay at Lawrenny Lodge and this time I came with friends. First class hospitality once again from Marie and Kevin. Great rooms, kept immaculately clean and an excellent breakfast served at a time of your choice. A large convenient car park. A few minutes walk downhill to pubs and restaurants, but booking recommended for restaurants as they always seem busy. Very convenient access to the footbridge to walk across the Barmouth Bridge and then follow the railway path towards Dolgellau or footpath towards Fairbourne. Would thoroughly recommend.

Marie and Kevin run their B&B with class! A beautiful property where we were made to feel so welcome. We were allocated a beautiful room with a sea view, beautifully clean and very inviting, such an amazing stay. The complimentary binoculars for our visit was such a lovely touch. I’ve been coming to Lawrenny Lodge for many years now, and it’s always just perfect. The building is so close to all the town’s amenities and beach, but far enough away for a relaxing and quiet break.The room is well appointed and has everything needed for the stay, and the breakfast is just delicious! Kevin and Marie are so accommodating and helpful, and it’s why I return every year.

As a small group of bikers we based ourselves at Lawrenny Lodge for easy access to some great Welsh roads. Our stay was welcoming and nothing was two much trouble, breakfast were great and very well organised. Rooms were basic but very clean and tidy with free tea and coffee in the room. The lodge was fully booked when we stayed but it still remained quiet and peaceful so we all got plenty of sleep and a long ride out. Barmouth is a short walk away with plenty of eateries and a few pubs. Definitely worth staying there if your in that of the country and Kevin and Marie were the perfect hosts.

We stayed 3 nights here and it was perfect. Cleanliness was excellent, the breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. Getting greeted with your tea and coffee ready made on the table was welcoming. Marie and Kevin the hosts were a lovely couple and chatting with Marie each morning at breakfast was a bonus as she knows the area well and was able to suggest places of interest to visit.Would highly recommend anyone stays here.

Second visit to Barmouth and Lawrenny Lodge.Everythingwas perfect including the weather.Marie & Kevin have a brilliant B&B where everything is absolutely spot on. A lovely couple who provide a spotlessly clean establishment with great views from the front facing rooms plus a really great breakfast.What more could you want in what is a much underrated spot of the country.

Just returned from my third stay at Lawrenny Lodge. The B&B is well situated with free parking and in walking distance of the town. We stayed in the spacious sea view twin room with great views. Marie and Kevin are wonderful, caring hosts who go above and beyond for their guests, offering suggestions for attractions and restaurants and nothing is too much trouble, even offering to make my friend a hot chocolate following a rainy walk around Barmouth. The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice. We now have started to book directly with them to take advantage of a lower rate. As always, we really enjoyed our stay, even though the weather wasn't that great this time. I would definitely recommend staying at Lawrenny Lodge and will be back. Thanks Marie and Kevin.

I have stayed at Lawrenny Lodge a number of times, more recently to do the local walking festival. A short walk from the town centre of Barmouth, it has the very useful benefit of car parking. Kevin and Marie the present owners are very welcoming. And depending what you are doing on the day, offer you a choice of breakfast times, and indeed offer you a choice on your breakfast menu, just let them know evening before. All in all a relaxing place to stay in very clean rooms, and yet a very popular local pub for drink and food is very nearby.

Marie and Kevin made us feel welcome from the first moment that we arrived and the room was fantastic with sea views. The breakfasts were delicious and their knowledge of the area was outstanding. We will definitely be staying again.

We stayed for 2 nights for a child free weekend which is rare for us as foster carers. The room was large, spotlessly clean, comfortable with a stylish shower ensuite. We were greeted by Marie who went over the breakfast options to order for the following day. The food was lovely. Full English for us both, mine vegetarian. I also emailed ahead to request soya milk which was ready for me. The facilities were spot on as was the attention to detail. Tea/coffee making facilities with complimentary biscuits were gratefully accepted. Nothing was too much trouble for Marie and Kevin.The weather was dreadful so we spent more time in our room than planned, and I've never felt so relaxed. I cannot recommend this guest house more. I'm sure we'll be returning when the opportunity arises.

Kevin & Marie were great hosts helping us with their local knowledge of the area so we has wonderful walking experiences.Sourcing natural yogurt for the breakfast and lending us binoculars and a bird book so we could identify the birds we had seen along the estuary.The bedroom was very clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable.The breakfast was excellent.

This was my second stay at Lawrenny Lodge, and I can now see it becoming a firm fixture each time I am in Barmouth. Friendly service, lovely clean and comfy room, brilliant cooked breakfast with a lot of local produce.A short walk from the main town, but also with a smaller beach on the harbour just a few minutes walk.

Marie and Kevin are excellent hosts. They have a wealth of knowledge about the area and breakfasts to set you up for your day of exploration around the area. If stuck for somewhere to visit, they will always come up with some great ideas especially places to walk. The room we were allocated was the studio and the view of Cardigan Bay was amazing. We were long stay guests and an unhurried breakfast set us up for the day and our room was always clean and tidy on our return from our days out. This place has the sweetest host couple who go out of their way to make guests feel comfortable. the rooms are very clean and nice, and the breakfast has a large selection. We can warmly recommend this place, which is located with a beautiful view and good parking. If we come to that part of Wales again we will definitely stay here again.

On arrival we were given a lovely welcome by Marie and from the outset she couldn't do enough to make us feel at home. We stayed on the top floor with a lovely view of the harbour and the room had everything that we needed with plenty of storage and it was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was first class, plenty of choice and a beautifully cooked. You had to choose your breakfast the night before and it was ready when you sat down. Marie and Kevin were first class hosts, thank you !

Very friendly and welcoming hosts, a comfortable and well equipped room and a high quality comprehensive breakfast. Lawrenny Lodge is well situated, close to the Barmouth Bridge with its footpath over the river and a few minutes stroll from the town centre. A good sized private car park is available for guests. A very enjoyable stay and I thoroughly recommend this establishment.

Marie and Kevin and Lawrenny Lodge made our Holiday in Wales very enjoyable. We had a nice, comfortable room overlooking the sea. A sumptuousfull breakfast each morning set us up for the day, until the evening.We have booked our return to Lawrenny Lodge for June 2024 and we are already looking forward to it.

Ideally positioned in this wonderful part of Wales to go exploring the magical vistas the Snowdonia area has to offer.We chose this B&B because of it's no pets, no children policy which is something we always check before booking any staycation.Marie and Kevin were excellent hosts.

Just returned from a 2 night stay with Marie and Kevin at lawrenny Lodge.Just such a wonderful relaxing experience, cared for by a truly delightful couple.Our room was very clean,spacious, bright and cheerful with amazing views towards the estuary and sea. Lovely welcome tray with continual top ups.The breakfast was perfectly cooked and very plentiful. We are difficult to cater for as we are vegetarian and gluten free but nothing was too much trouble.Thank you so much for everything,hope to visit again later in the year.

We stayed here having read the great reviews. It's absolutely fantastic. The location is ideal for Barmouth Bay as its a very short walk into all the shops,restaurants and beach. The hotel hosts are extremely friendly and very helpful and the breakfast is amazing and you want for nothing. Can't fault this hotel one bit. Absolutely wonderful.

We arrived as a party of 5 adults for a two-night stay. Kevin and Marie were excellent hosts and couldn't do enough for us. The accommodation was very good (excellent sea views from our window) as were the available variety of choices for breakfast. We loved our stay at Lawrenny Lodge. The owners were very friendly and helpful.Room had a lovely sea view and was very clean. Cooked breakfast was really nice.The only problem we had was with the shower in room 8, kept going hot and cold, hard to adjust, it could be that other people were using water at the same time as it was in the morning before breakfast.Would definitely return one day when we visit Barmouth again.The Mawddach trail is definitely worth doing on bikes. 9 miles one way to Dollgellau. All flat riding with great views.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at Lawrenny Lodge, and you are never let down it is pure joy staying with Marie and Kevin.The rooms are spotless well decorated and the breakfast you have a very good choice, the full English is lovely and if you understand what I mean it is so clean.You are welcomed as though you were family and treated as such.If anyone said to me they were travelling to Wales and staying in Barmouth were would you recommend staying, I would definitely recommend Lawrenny Lodge, beautiful people and a beautiful place to stay.

Stayed at this amazing hotel last week for 4 nights it was one of the best we’ve stopped in. The room was spacious spotless and a big comfy bed with a fantastic sea view. Marie and Kevin where brilliant hosts caring and so friendly nothing is too much trouble for them. Breakfast was delicious Kevin’s scrambled and poached eggs where spot on. We would certainly go back if we are in the area again. The private car park is a bonus too

What a super place. Marie and Kevin were so generous, helpful, kind and attentive.My room was kept spotless each day, which was lovely given I’m super fussy about cleanliness!I was in room 5, a small double perfect for one, although would have been ok for a couple. Lovely big shower cubicle with an electric shower - lovely and hot with good amount of pressure.The bed was incredibly comfortable- another thing I’m really fussy about, with lovely quality bedding. My room faced the back - no view but not a problem given I spent all day outside. Lovely and quiet too.Pretty window blind, but it wasn’t blackout material so if you’re anything like me and like darkness, then bring an eye mask or use a big black sock - works a treat!Finally, the breakfast. Absolutely gorgeous. Perfectly cooked and tasty - thank you Kevin!I will most definitely be staying here when I come to Barmouth again- which will be soon and as often as possible. Loved it.

Lovely b and b with very friendly helpful owners. Nice twin room with very comfortable beds and pillows. The room was exceptionality quite even with a main road outside. The breakfasts were amazing. We sat in the conservatory to eat them and it was lovely looking out over Fairborne. 5 minute walk into town and a private car park so no need to move car once parked up although Barmouth is central for lots of places to visit. We’ve stayed in lots of b and bs in Barmouth over the years and this is probably the nicest.Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming again!

This is my 4th stay at Lawrenny Lodge. My friends and I use it as a base for fishing but this time around it was just myself and my wife for a short break. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the hosts Kevin & Marie are lovely - always pleasant and anxious to ensure that everything is to your satisfaction. The location is perfect, and some rooms have wonderful sea views. There is ample private parking, Wi-Fi and its only a very short walk into Barmouth. Kevin does a very tasty English breakfast but of course there are other options. We even got a lovely lemon drizzle muffin on arrival. Last visit it was chocolate!It's a comfortable and clean base in a great location, so whatever the reason for your visit I can thoroughly recommend Lawrenny Lodge.

My wife and I stayed on Friday 25th September and checked out Sunday 27th. The proprietors could not do enough for us. We had a Seaview room which was perfect for watching the sunset. Kevin and Marie gave us walking places to visit and the breakfasts were immense. We WILL be going back.

I Have stayed at Lawrenny Lodge before, but this is the first time with the new owners Kevin and Marie. I am very pleased to say they made my stay very relaxing and enjoyable from the moment i arrived until the moment i left. I came to Barmouth to take part in the annual walking festival, and Kevin and Marie were happy to adapt breakfast times to tie in with my different walk times. Lawrenny lodge is in a nice location with the added benefit of on site parking, as well aa well as being only a short walk from the town with it's choice of eating places and shops etc, as well as a Railway station for those who wish to travel on the Cambrian Coast Line.

Lovely few days at this homely, comfortable b and b. Very comfortable bedroom, lovely views of fairbourne and the sea. Breakfast excellent. Hosts very welcoming.

We have been to Lawrenny Lodge now twice. We really like it here because, Kevin& Marie are such a lovely couple. We love Barmouth but it gets very busy in the summer.Lawrenny Lodge is slightly out of the middle but within easy walking distance and has the huge bonus of a car park.The hosts are lovely people,we've just stayed with them for the second time and it certainly won't be our last.Excellent!!

Wonderful stay, despite the rain!Barmouth is a superb location for hiking, and easy access to the Snowdonia National Park. Lawrenny Lodge is THE place to stay, with it's comfortable rooms, and great location overlooking the estuary. It was great before, but even more welcoming with the "new" owners.

What a gem this guesthouse is - the owners are lovely and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The view from the sea view rooms are spectacular - we had room 7 which has a seating area to enjoy these views. The cooked breakfast was delicious and I loved the fresh fruit salad. This review is difficult to write as I find it hard to explain the quality of service and cleanliness at Lawrenny Lodge. The hosts, Marie and Kevin couldn’t do enough for us. We were in rooms 6 & 8, with a lovely sea view, the rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean.The choice of breakfast was perfect, we had porridge, fresh fruit salad and full English, (delicious) !!!!!We will certainly stay there again. Close to the town centre.Very highly recommended!!!!!!WELL DONE MARIE AND KEVIN !!!!!

Offered lots of help and suggestions of both walking and cycling trips during our short stay.Room clean and comfortable and very spacious, with excellent sea views and seating for viewing.Lovely breakfast.Only 5 minute walk into town, and 1 minute to Barmouth Bay bridge for easy access to the other side of the bay.

What can you say. Everything about Lawrenny Lodge was perfect.The hosts Marie and Kevin went out of their way to please you and accommodate your every need.Everywhere was spotless and such attention to detail was paid. Breakfast was cooked fresh with your choice of tasty ingredients. We had not visited Barmouth for 30 years but having found a gem like this will certainly be back.

We stayed here for a 4 day break with my partners disabled son (a young adult).Absolutely everything was great from the time we arrived.The welcome, the rooms, breakfast, the friendliness of the hosts who were lovely.They were so knowledgeable of not just the local area but everywhere, sharing information with us of places of interest to visit and places to eat.This has been one of the best B&B’s I have stayed at and would recommend it to anyone. A superb B&B run by Marie and Kevin, who both work hard to ensure a great stay.Rooms and public areas are very clean, it is in an excellent location with great views and 10 mins walk from the harbour.The breakfast is also not to be missed, cooked to order at whatever time you select for breakfast, hot food served on a hot plate (are you listening, Premier Inn?!).Would definitely recommend.

Arriving at Lawrenny we were greeted with a real warm welcome, nice room, good WIFI, brilliant breakfasts - set you up for the whole day. We've been staying at Lawrenny for years and years and as ever, the owners were so kind, we felt like we were staying with friends.

From the moment that we were met by Marie to the moment that we were farewelled by Marie and Kevin after our 5 night break, my sister and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was great, our bedroom was spotless, the sea view was lovely and, although the Lodge is on the main road, this was not a problem as the road was not busy, despite lovely weather in June. The Lodge has ample parking space and is a 10 minute walk out of the town. We have no hesitation in recommending Lawrenny Lodge for a quiet stay,(no pets, no children) in Barmouth.

A simply flawless stay at lawrenny Lodge. Kevin and Marie are the perfect hosts (and the sweetest couple!). Nothing was too much trouble. As gluten, wheat and dairy intolerant guests they went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed for our breakfast and drinks/snacks for our room. We stayed on the top floor with a sea view and spent out evening sat in the windows seats with coffee and blankets looking out to sea. We couldn't ask for more and can't wait to return.

This is the best place to stay in barmouth. On arrival we were greeted by Marie she is so friendly. They made us home made cakes which was delicious and such a lovely gesture. Our room was amazing so clean a king-size bed and sea view. Breakfast was delicious and a large choice on the menu to pick from. Marie was very informative on places to go around barmouth and they even printed off the events around barmouth for the jubilee which was very helpful. We will definitely stay here again and can't wait to return x

We have stayed here on many occasions over the years and always found it to be a first class experience. We always book Room 2, it has beautiful views of the Harbour and Estuary from the large twin windows. The house is well presented and spotless throughout.The new owners Marie and Kevin are the perfect attentive hosts, nothing is too much trouble. The experience has been enhanced under their tenure, the breakfast experience is first rate with pre-booking a big plus.The carpark is a lot tidier making it easier to park.Hopefully we will be back next year.

This is the second stay for us. Marie and Kevin are superb hosts, who just cannot do enough for you, offering advice on places to visit.The immaculate rooms are lovely and comfortable. Those with a sea view are special. We could sit for hours! The breakfast offering is for everyone and just the way to start your day.

One of the cleanest,friendliest guest houses we have ever stayed in. We had the most relaxing and enjoyable time due to the warmth and hard work of Kevin and Marie who make everyone feel at home from the minute you arrive. Thankyou so much, we will be back.

The owners are very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. They warned us in advance that the local eating places would need to be booked ahead of our visit which was at the end of Easter week. In our case this didn't matter as we were visiting a relative nearby.We booked the smallest double room which was clean, neat and well set out, with its own en-suite shower. The owners were prepared to assist guests to park efficiently in their car park to ensure everyone fitted. The walk to the beach or town took less than 10 minutes, and we walked across the bay using a toll bridge which also accommodated trains. At the end of our visit we very much appreciated being given banana and walnut muffins for the journey

Retaining its 19th century charm, Lawrenny Lodge is well located with the bonus of residents' parking. A short walk to the town centre, its also just a few steps from the iconic Barmouth bridge. Rooms are very comfortable, front-facing ones have great estuary and coastal views.Breakfast is superb. Nothing is too trouble for delightful hosts Marie and Kevin. Marie and Kevin were extremely welcoming and friendly. The room had an amazing view and was bright and clean, with comfy beds and a good shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was generous and tasty, and Marie remembered we were going for a walk on the last day and gave us some muffins which Kevin had made. They were delicious, even more so at the top of Cader Idris! Thank you so much - we are looking forward to coming back again :)

Just returned from our stay at Lawrenny Lodge and we had a wonderful stay. Kevin & Marie made us so welcome and were lovely & friendly. They were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was spacious & clean, the bed was so comfortable and the view breathtaking. The little seating area in front of the window was cosy & inviting and watching the sunset in the conservatory was great. The food was delicious & plentiful, locally sourced and freshly cooked. Lots to choose from, including freshly baked muffins & Welsh yoghurts. At only 7 minutes walk from the town it's ideally placed for all the pubs, restaurants and shops as well as being close to the beach and local walks. We will definitely be going back! Thank you for making our stay so special.

Lovely hosts, fab views of the sea. The room was very clean and the beds were super comfy! Tea and coffee facilities weren’t used but catered for everyone and I appreciated the jug of water topped up each day. Kev the host gave us delicious homemade chocolate muffins to take home with us - it’s the little added bits that make a stay more special. Thank you both, we will be back!

We took my parents away for a 3 night stay, we had 2 fabulous rooms with amazing views overlooking the estuary, both were spotlessly clean as is the whole place. there is also plenty of parking which is a massive plus. The hosts Marie and Kevin really couldn’t do enough for us, the breakfast was really lovely, cooked to order, my dad said the porridge was the best ever!! They both were so knowledgeable about the area and gave us a few stunning places to visit.The location is ideal it’s only a short walk down to the seafront and restaurants etc. I can’t wait to visit and see the new build. Our stay there was memorable for all the right reasons.Easy parking, very warm welcome, lovely clean room with a delightful view over the bay.Unlike many other B&B the bathroom had lots of shelves and the bedroom had plenty of storage, a dressing table and well placed electric sockets. I was taken a little unwell whilst staying here, following a meal at a restaurant in town, and Marie could not have been more understanding and caring.We would most certainly stay here again and will tell our friends about this delightful B&B

We had decided to book a long weekend in Barmouth after someone recommended the town to us, found Lawrenny Lodge quite by chance on a website and so pleased we picked it.Lovely, homely atmosphere, fab hosts and lovely comfy room.As soon as you walk in the main door it feels like being at home.Would highly recommend it to anyone…plus the view from the lodge is amazing.(Fresh homemade muffins are pretty good as well).

Maria and Kevin were brilliant so welcoming, we felt at home straight away.Room and en-suite were lovely, clean and bright. The bed was really comfortable with plenty of pillows. A fabulous sea view from both windows was amazing to wake up to and to sit and relax through the day. Coffee and tea making facilities provided in room and replenished daily.Breakfast was tasty and good quality food with lots of choice from full English, cereals, fruit, yoghurt, toast, jams - something for everyone.We chose Lawrenny Lodge originally because it had on-site parking and it’s location, however, when we arrived it was so much more.Barmouth was a lovely place to visit. We hope to visit again and if we do we will stay at Lawrenny Lodge, thoroughly enjoyed, would definitely recommend.

We stayed here as a group of 4 adults after walking the Cambrian Way from Llandovery, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I wish the nice young couple running this place every success. They are such hard workers that I am sure they will be.

Clean, big, comfortable room with tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and lovely smelling soaps and shampoo, the room also had a beautiful view. The accommodation has good parking and is a 7 minute walk into Barmouth. The breakfast was delicious and such a good choice. We were staying at the lodge to do some touring on our motorbikes and from the first minute we got there to the second we left we were spoiled. Many thanks to Kevin and Marie for our fabulous short break in Barmouth. Their welcome was as warm and friendly as ever and it waseasy to slip into ‘holiday mode’ as soon as we arrived. The cleanliness and comfort of the room was perfect as was the excellent vegetarian/ vegan food ( especially the muffins! A lovely treat, thank you.) you even organized the sunshine for us!!! Very attentive host, nothing any trouble. Great breakfasts with an excellent choice. Free car parking which in Barmouth is a bit of a rarity. Rooms are nice and clean. Lovely views and only a 5 minute walk from town centre. Offered extra food at breakfast and they made us Banana and Walnut muffins for us to take away. Would highly recommend this wonderful guest house to anyone wanting a nice relaxing visit to the Welsh coast. Looking forward to a return visit soon.

My mom who is vegetarian said it was the best breakfast she has ever had.Rooms are lovely, our bed was so comfortable and the pillows were a dream, I slept very well. This was our second time staying at Lawrenny Lodge and it was just as amazing as the first. The hosts cater to all of your needs and they are so friendly.We have never experienced as good as a stay anywhere else. If you are coming to Barmouth, this is the place to stay.

My friend and I had a very enjoyable stay at Lawrenny Lodge. Our room was spacious with a pleasant sea view. Kevin and Marie gave us a warm welcome and breakfasts were great, using local produce. It was very useful to be able to park on site and walk quickly into town. It was a most relaxing break.

I came up to Barmouth to support the Three Peaks Yacht Race and stayed at Lawrence Lodge for two nights. It was very welcoming and friendly and I had a wonderful view of the estuary from my room. The room was spotless and the bed very comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent.

From arrival the welcome was very warm and friendly. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable with a modern en-suite of a high standard. Beautiful two night stay!!! The hosts couldn't do enough for us, there is no negatives. We even had a home made muffin for our journey home, which didn't get past the car park because we couldn't wait to eat it.

We booked in at the Lawrenny Lodge for 3 nights and can’t recommend the location enough. Both Marie and Kevin were fantastic, from their knowledge of the local area and assistance with ‘forgotten phone chargers.The room was very clean, and had sufficient space for a comfortable nights stay and the shower in room was great. Breakfast selection was plentiful and the food provided was really nice. We hope to return in the not so distant future and wouldn’t hesitate to book here again.

Great location with sea views ( we were in Room 7) and lovely breakfast (fruit, yogurt, cereal and choice of cooked). Clean rooms and very helpful hosts. Close to harbour for walks, cycle hire (Birmingham Garage), boat trips and restaurants. Had no problem parking on site. Would strongly recommend.

The Guest House was all that we hoped for and more. We were made especially welcome by Marie and Kevin,(the host)Lovely couple. Nothing was too much trouble. Wonderfully situated in a lovely location away from the main Town. Our room had an excellent view across the Harbour from a large bay window. A couple of chairs added to the comfort and provided a wonderful location to just sit & relax and watch the world go by. The Room benefited from the usual amenities & was sufficiently spacious etc. Breakfast was great & cooked to order. The newly arrived hosts ( Marie & Kevin ) were a lovely young couple and really friendly & helpful to all of their guests. They were coping admirably in what are the challenging circumstances of Covid 19. We stayed for a whole week, did'nt move the car from the car park & could easily have stayed longer. In fact we'vebooked to return for another week in 2022 & are really looking forward to it. All in all, a wonderfully comfortable & pleasant place to stay.Highly reccommended indeed.

The Lawrenny Lodge is easy to find being situated just a few minutes outside of Barmouth. Our room was exceptionally clean and very light and spacious with an amazing sea view. Breakfast was excellent and providing Gluten Free was no trouble at all. Lovely hosts; couldn't be more friendly or helpful.

Never been to Barmouth, very surprised what a busy, beautiful place it is.Lawrenny Lodge was a great place to stay,own car park, so could park and close enough to work in to Barmouth.The Room (No 7) was excellent, big , clean and 2 comfy chairs,so you could also just sit and watch the sea and views.The breakfast was delicious,cooked to order,or freshfruit, yogurtplenty of choice.Seats were provided , to sit in the sun, and one day we were greeted with homemade muffins ????Umbrellas were available, and despite the weather, we had a great time.The hosts Marie and Kev were very knowledgableand full of suggestions if needed.

Our second stay in 2 months which says it all really! Another comfortable and enjoyable one too. We will return again I am sure.

We stayed here just before the October Covid firebreak lockdown in Wales.Marie and Keven gave us a great welcome and went to a lot of trouble to make us feel safe.Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean with a lovely view over the harbour.Breakfasts were very good.The location is very convenient, a short walk from the town and with easy access to walks.

We chose this hotel at the last minute and are so glad we did. Our room was spotless and so pleasant, the whole hotel was a joy and so pretty. The view from our sea view room gave us what must be one of the best views of the Estuary and our room was comfortable, immaculately clean, with great facilities, we couldn't have asked for more. It is clear that they take great pride in all that they do for their guests and go above and beyond! If we return to Barmouth in the future Lawrenny Lodge will be our go to holiday accommodation.

Stayed for a weekend 18-20 sept.From the minute we arrived Kevin and Marie were very welcoming.We arrived a little early,waited in car,within a couple minutes Kevin came and told us the room was ready and we were welcome to check in.They had made cakes and offered us a couple to take to room.Which we accepted..what a lovely gesture.From then on nothing was too much trouble for them to help you in any way.Breakfast was amazing.Full English,cereal,fresh fruit,yoghurt,fruit juice.Definitly going back to LawrennyThank you Kevin and Marie

My husband and I stayed in Lawrenny Lodge just over about a week now and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Even being fairly seasoned travellers we found the people running the hotel to be absolutely delightful and they really made our stay in Barmouth so very pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble, they were making us tea without charge, recommending places to visit, places to eat, they allowed us to bring takeaways into their conservatories which made life much easier in these times when restaurants are all busy, just made the whole trip a thoroughly pleasant one. The room itself was beautiful as well with an absolutely stunning view overlooking the sea, it's in a prime location. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barmouth (which is lovely in itself) and should we ever visit Barmouth again we will look at this place first.

Although the weather was mixed for our stay at Lawrenny Lodge, we had an excellent holiday. This was largely due to Marie and Kevin, who were very friendly and provided a service second to none. They also gave us information on local places to visit. All in all our stay proved to be excellent value in all respects.

We came here for our 2nd wedding anniversary last weekend. What a wonderful weekend we had! The hotel is beautiful and perfect location to Barmouth centre as it’s less than a 10 minute walk. Our room was loverly and breakfast was pre ordered the night before where you could choose exactly what you wanted and what time. The couple running the place are so welcoming and nothing is to much trouble! They went out of their way to ask us our plans and then asked how it was after. We highly recommend this to anyone and will definitely be returning as Barmouth has always been our favourite sea side and now we have our favourite place to stay!

We’ve just had a lovely 4 day stay here.The owners are very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. The accommodation is spotless and we had a nice choice for breakfast. The guesthouse is situated at the end of Barmouth Bridge, so only a 5 minute walk to the town centre, with lovely views of the estuary and Fairbourne. We had a very enjoyable holiday and would definitely return to the guesthouse.

Excellent accommodation, with fantastic view over the harbour at Barmouth. Run by a lovely, friendly couple who went out of their way to be helpful - they deserve to be very successful.

Stopped here as part of a cycling tour around Wales. Hosts were super friendly. Would recommend to anyone. Great breakfast as well.

Friendly B & B with good parking. Front rooms have excellent views over the estuary but can suffer from noisy traffic at times. Good breakfast. 5 minutes walk into town; 10 minutes back up the hill.

Just returned from a three night stay and new owners Kevin and Marie are doing a great job in maintaining the standards of the previous owners. Very welcoming and accommodation was clean and comfortable with a good hearty breakfast. We will definitely be returning as we have in the past many times

A perfect bolt hole for a seaside break. The accommodation is clean and well presented, with very welcoming hosts. Vegetarians and vegans well catered for; the vegan pancakes and breakfast frittatas were delicious. ( As was the parsnip cake - thank you for the recipe!)Always lots to do in Barmouth. This time we focused on walking - back from Dolgellau, to Fairbourne and back and up into the glorious mountains above the town. Found time to eat at Isis - also very accommodating too.Finally, our front facing room had superb views of the estuary and harbour- perfect.Excellent value for money.

We had a sea view room which was absolutely stunning the room was beautiful and clean, the breakfast was also amazing, even tho it was only a short stay Barmouth is a beautiful place and a would totally recommend it. Also can fault the hosts in the lodge very Friendly and welcoming.

Marie & Kevin were the greatest hosts. Such nice people who made us both very welcome. They gave us great local tips and the breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back!!

Words cannot express how lovely our one night stay at Lawnreddy was, perfect spotlessly clean room, comfortable beds, good choice of breakfast, nothing was too much trouble, the personal touches of coffee and cake on arrival were lovely.We will be returning next year.

Kevin and Marie made it a great visit for us as they were such kind and thoughtful hosts. As an example, we stayed whilst most restaurants were still closed and they helped us through this by providing cutlery and drinks for take-aways which we brought back. Kevin and Marie were incredibly welcoming and helpful and made what could have been a difficult stay during the lockdown a hugely pleasurable experience.Also, beautiful view of the bay from our room and well located hotel.

Marie and Kevin run a lovely bed & breakfast and are so hospitable! The rooms are decorated to a high standard, very clean with all facilities provided and the hearty, cooked breakfast was excellent. We were even allowed to keep our car in the car park for an extra day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again!

Barmouth has been the family ‘go to place’ or almost 60 years. Caravans, apartments, B&Bs and small hotels have all been our holiday homes over the years. When my parents diedover 20 years ago, I had a bench installed for them overlooking the harbour, and it is still there. Some of us are now in our 70s and 80s so, for what could well be a final fling for some, a family group of 15 descended on Lawrenny Lodge during the COVID epidemic. Although we could not have meals prepared by Kevin and Marie the 2 of them could not have been more accommodating if they had tried. Because we occupied about 75% of the hotel we were conscious that we might be disturbing the other 2 guests when we brought in our take away meals on 2 nights, if we did and you read this, I apologise! Kevin and Marie manned the bar exceptionally well and nothing was too much for them. A hearty breakfast after a good night’s sleep in a comfy bed is all you can hope for on a short break and they provided all of this. The hotel is well situated for a brisk walk across the iconic bridge or a casual stroll into the town centre. Thank you Marie and Kevin for looking after us so well and being understanding of our needs at what is a difficult time for us all. I’m sure that some of us will be back for more of your excellent hospitality in the future and good luck to you both in your new venture.

I had a good vibe whilst booking this place as one of my stopover places. The moment I walked through the door I knew I’d made a great choice. I was so warmly greeted. I was early so I sat with a coffee and a book relaxing after my drive down. Kevin and Marie couldn’t have been nicer. I booked my breakfast slot and Kevin even offered a special addition to my breakfast menu...it was a lovely gesture. The room was perfect, spotlessly clean and they’d thought of everything. Nothing was missing, even good coffee filter in the room! Breakfast was fab and everything they did was done warmly and with a smile. Of course I’d stay there again...who wouldn’t? Two very genuine hosts.

First time we have stayed at Lawrenny Lodge but it most certainly will not be the last. We were made to feel most welcome from the moment we arrived and throughout our two night stay. Social distancing and extreme cleanliness in all areas. Beautiful room on second floor with a fabulous view over the estuary. Bed was extremely comfortable and lovely crisp white bed linen. Good quality full English breakfast with all the usual accompaniments. Small bar for anyone requiring a drink during their stay .On site car park is a bonus.We have stayed at several B n B’s in Barmouth over the years but you will struggle to better this one

As our first time in a B&B we were unsure what to expect. To be honest we thought it would just be like a hotel but we were pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t. The owners were so friendly and helpful, when we asked about a local walk they offered us some water proof trousers, a map and an umbrella and were always around offering a drink and if there was anything else they could do for us etc. The place itself was lovely and clean, just a 5minute walk into Barmouth town, and the room was also nice and clean and quite too. We will definitely be returning again probly for an anual thing as a little break away from home/parenting and work life.

Such a lovelyplace to stay, Marie and Kevin our young hosts where so very welcoming and nothing appeared to be any trouble for their guests. The hotel is in a great spot with good parking and only a 5/10 minute walk from Barmouth. Our room was chic and relaxing with comfortable bed and a fabulousview.The breakfasts where good in the delightful dining room or conservatory, again with the fabulousview. This will certainlybe our go to place when we return to Barmouth.
